Everything Turns... is an open investigation into number mythology on Super-8 film. Long exposures and various animation techniques process and restructure the science behind it. This results in a type of almanac of time, space and place that humorously references Hans Richter.

Distortion uses the aesthetic potential of digital encoding techniques on the basis of found avant-gardistic and ephemeral film footage. Since the films are copy-protected, their digital reproductions are encoded. By copying the moving images they become transformed into distorted forms and patterns, which are condensed by Nsiah’s rhythmic montage and distilled by Billy Roisz’ soundtrack.

Based on footage shot on a shared vacation, two filmmakers and long-time friends finally make a film together and embark on a symbolically authentic non-Euclidean adventure.

In this film, highly organized and richly layered patterns move in accordance with audio frequencies and rhythms, towards the construction of an endlessly mutating labyrinth.
